I'm Ian, a skilled and experienced graduate multimedia/web developer,
living and working in the UK.
I design and build multimedia/web sites/e-learning products for a living.
When I'm not working I fly microlights, travel, play sax and chase my
girlfriend!

Ultra Electronics / Royal Navy
Brief:
Working as part of team at Burridge Courseware produce fully SCORM
2004 conformant courseware for the new Sonar 2170 system. To be delivered
via LMS or standalone PC
**Security sensitive so no link to this project.
Solution:
- Flash/xml based courseware
- My role Flash content, packaging/browser control in javascript
- Scripting SCORM functions in javascript to integrate to Flash.
- SCORM testing and packaging.
Client:
Defence Logistic Organistion / MTS / Royal Navy
Brief:
As part of Burridge team produce twin screen, SCORM 2004 courseware
for the UAT system. To be delivered via LMS or standalone PC
**Security sensitive so no link to this project.
Solution:
- Flash/xml based courseware
- My role Flash content, packaging/browser control in javascript
- Scripting SCORM functions in javascript to integrate to Flash.
- Messaging between director and flash in seperate browsers
- SCORM testing and packaging.

Steph Reid - Professional model.
Brief:
To create a website to act as an online modelling photographic portfolio/CV
and contact point.
Solution:
- A full animated flash based website.
- Photo galleries draw images from "flickr.com" photo hosting site to enable client to update galleries at will.
- A guestbook using asp and an access database
- Full visitor statistics

Brief:
To create a website providing a general and operational information
for both group members and the local emergency planning/voluntary
emergency services community.
Solution:
- Pure xhtml/CSS style and layout.
- php and MySql database used for content management
- Diary/event sections easily updated by the site end user/adminisrator through an admin page.
- Crisp clean modern look and feel

Brief:
There is a lack of blogs about learning to fly or microlighting, so
I decided to fill the gap!
The site aims to answer all those questions friends, family and colleaugues
have and to provide links, inspiration and motivation for student
pilots.
Solution:
- php/mysql/css site based on the popular Wordpress blogging engine.
- "Falbum" integrated to show galleries from flickr in the blog
- A few CSS hacks made to customise further
- Web based visitor stats service added.

"Die Heidelberger Boys"
A comedy Bavarian Style Oompah Band.
Brief:
To create a website advertising the band, showing galleries of previous
gigs and comments from clients. To be fun and amusing.
Solution:
- Simple html based website. ****shortly to be updated to flash with flickr integration
- Used existing marketing material design/feel for site style
- Gallery pages of supplied jpgs
- Guestbook - asp/access db

Brief:
To create an online portfolio for the purposes of demonstrating ability
while seeking employment. Site to act as CV and gallery of all multimedia
work whilst showing off my web/flash capability.
Solution:
- Full modular Flash based website.
- CV and skills text dynamically pulled from text files for easy updating
- Audio, video and Quicktime VR content
- Guestbook - asp/access db

Brief:
Capture digital images, process and package as QTVR interactive movies.
Solution:
- Captured sequences of images for each movie using tripod and digital camera
- Used "3D Vista Studio" to stich imagery and produce QTVR movies.

In order to develop my flash skills and for fun I built a crazy flash
game.

- Submitted to various online flash game sites and has had literally millions of plays.
